Um even though I agree with him, I don't care for Snyder verse version of the dc characters I grew up either with that whole thing going on right now, but I will say one thing about dc though, they could very easily whip Disney's marvel comics butt, and could clean their clock good and hard, and dc comics the books are a whole lot better than marvel. but like theyv admitted that's not a goal on their minds right now, their focused on other things enstead trying to beat what Disney has done. And are beginning to do some stuff now as it is, but again I don't care for the Snyder verse, I really don't.

This is a great skit but I actually prefer DC better than Marvel and here's my reasoning (Warning: long but ultimately inconsequential rant follows, proceed at your own risk. If you're not interested I suggest you not lose your time like I'm about to do). Basically DC invented superhero comics as we know it, and their most famous characters like the Trinity cemented the genre. So, for establishing the mythology and having more time to sort out which characters work and which didn't, I believe DC's superheroes are usually better than Marvel's. What Marvel has going for it are better alter egos for their superheroes, since Stan Lee focused on creating interesting secret identities for his heroes (Lee is also one of the main forces behind Marvel's long standing success). I also think that DC has more interesting storylines in the comics, with their Crisises being better than the Secret Whatevers Marvel comes up with and Elseworlds having better stories than What If... But, since what went into the mainstream were the adaptations, I also have to address that. DC has consistently better animated series than Marvel. Marvel got strong shows in the 90s, but so did everyone. They had some hits like the ill-fated Spectacular Spider-Man (may it rest in peace), but DC delivered hit after hit with the Batman and Superman Animated Series, Justice League shows, Teen Titans (the good one), Young Justice and now Harley Quinn. DC also has better games, with iconic titles like the Arkham series and Injustice against a few contenders in the Marvel side like the great Spider-Man for PS4. All that said, when most people think of Marvel now they think of the MCU. I'll confide that I love the MCU and I think it has the some of the best superhero movies ever and is way better than whatever is happening at the DCEU... but that's it. DC's animated movies are consistently great and the best of the bunch go toe-to-toe with the MCU any day. Not to mention that before the MCU, DC had the better comic movies with Tim Burton and Nolan's Batman series, rivaled only by the Spider-Man and Blade trilogies on Marvel's side. As for other contemporary Marvel movies, I always hated the Fox X-Men, but I will die protecting Into the Spider-Verse aka The Best Spider-Man movie.
P.S.: I also think Batman is a little overrated. My favorite DC superhero is Green Arrow, I love his witty quips and white guilt

I will admit, I grew up not even knowing what Marvel was. Of course on TV was the Super Friends of the 70s and 80s. That was the extent of my superhero watching. I grew up watching sci-fi.

DC does a *terrible* job developing plotlines for and marketing their superheroes that aren't Batman or Superman. Even Wonder Woman. You also never can truly forget that Marvel's universe and major players was created by a single team under Stan Lee in a fairly tight time frame in the '60s while DC's was canon-welded together out of properties from several different creators working separately, often for different publishers.
